Father David A. Driesch
Father Dave was appointed Pastor of Our Lady of Joy Parish on January 19, 2009 by Bishop David A. Zubik, thus becoming the fourth Pastor of Our Lady of Joy Parish.
Father Dave was raised in Baden, Pennsylvania in Beaver County, along with his older sister Maryanne and two younger brothers, Paul and John. He was educated by the Sisters of Saint Joseph at Mt. Gallitzin Academy and Quigley Catholic High School, both located in Baden.
After graduating from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, he entered Saint Vincent Seminary were he received his formation and seminary education from the Benedictine Monks in Latrobe, PA. On June 26, 1982, he was ordained a Priest for the Diocese of Pittsburgh by Bishop Vincent Leonard. For the next twelve years, he served as a Parochial Vicar at several parishes in the Diocese of Pittsburgh along with teaching at Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport and latter serving as Campus Minister, Chaplain and Religion Teacher at Seton-La Salle High School in Mt. Lebanon. He has served as Pastor at St. Camillus Parish in New Castle, Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Hopewell and St. Bernard Parish in Mt. Lebanon. While serving at St. Camillus Parish, Father Dave was also the Catholic Campus Minister and Chaplain at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA.
